Your new role
As anAssistant Site Manager, you will overseeing a large volume housebuilding site and your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
Supervising Construction Activities : Overseeing daily site operations to ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and within budget.
Quality Control : Monitoring the quality of work performed by subcontractors and ensuring it meets the required standards and specifications.
Health and Safety Compliance : Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to on site, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any issues promptly.
Coordination with Stakeholders : Liaising with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project.
Resource Management : Assisting in the management of materials, equipment, and labour to ensure efficient use of resources.
Progress Reporting : Preparing and submitting regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any potential delays or issues.
Problem Solving : Identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the construction process to minimise disruptions.
Documentation : Maintaining accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
Client Interaction : Assisting in client meetings and site visits, providing updates and addressing any concerns they may have.
Training and Mentoring : Supporting the training and development of junior staff and new team members.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Experience with large volume house building.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office needed / Microsoft Projects or Aster is a plus).
Qualification – First Aid, SMSTS, CSCS Card,
Must have a clean driving license.
Strong, clear communication experience.
