Our client is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to join the team to support the delivery of waste services.
Your new role:
- Support daily waste operations and service delivery
- Monitor performance and suggest improvements
- Deputise for the Team Leader when required
- Help manage budgets, resources, and procurement
- Ensure health safety procedures are followed
- Lead team briefings and maintain good communication
- Support staff management, including training and attendance
- Assist with fleet and transport compliance
- Investigate incidents, damage, and insurance claims
- Provide operational support when needed, including frontline supervision
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience in waste management or a similar operational role
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good understanding of health safety and relevant legislation
- Ability to manage teams and improve performance
- Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
