You will be joining a global civil engineering consultancy supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most significant major infrastructure programmes, Sizewell C. Operating within a highly integrated project environment, this organisation brings together industry-leading professionals from project controls, commercial, finance and delivery disciplines. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based on site at Sizewell C (2/3 days per week) with remote working.
As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will work within a dedicated and dynamic cost team, supporting commercial delivery on a major infrastructure programme. This is a highly client-facing role, ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and is eager to develop their technical capability and leadership skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting contract management activities, including drafting correspondence, payment notices, change evaluation and dispute avoidance
- Assisting with cost management, including CBS/WBS maintenance, forecasting, accruals, earned value inputs and contractor claim assessment
- Providing estimating and cost planning support, including measurement, value engineering and benchmarking
- Contributing to planning, reporting and governance, including KPI reporting and commercial performance metrics
- Supporting procurement and tendering activities from strategy through to contract award
- Assisting with commercial risk management, including risk identification, quantification and mitigation

In order to be successful, you will bring:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent and membership of a relevant professional body
- Proven experience utilising NEC3 and/or NEC4 form of contract within civil engineering with either a contractor or consultancy
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider project team
- Full UK driving licence
