An established and growing SME with exciting plans for further expansion, my client is recruiting for the newly created role of Assistant Accountant / Accountant to join their team.
Your new role
This newly created role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied position. Reporting to and supporting the Finance Director, you will be involved in a mixture of accounting tasks including:
- Supporting with monthly management accounts preparation
- Support with month-end and year-end close processes
- Responsibility for the purchase and sales ledgers
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with VAT returns
- Liaise with external auditors, suppliers and stakeholders
- Process review and improvement
What you'll need to succeed
Due to this being a newly created role, this could suit an active AAT Level 4 / CIMA / ACCA studier looking to develop further or an individual with proven experience in a similar role looking for a new challenge and change of environment. Experience of supporting with management accounts preparation, including accruals/prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations will be key. A positive and adaptable approach with experience of working in a small but growing business would be beneficial.
What you'll get in return
