Assistant Accountant for a leading global media company based in the West End.

Your new company: The world's most highly respected independent digital entertainment studios, producing award-winning animation, visual effects and immersive entertainment for film, broadcast, streaming, gaming, music and events. Recognised as one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe from its London base.

Your new role: Seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant for the London office to support the Finance Manager and production in ensuring the maximisation of the immersive divisions' profitability and financial targets, as well as helping oversee improvements in the finance function.

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified or AAT Qualified accountant
  • Experience in accounts payable and project-based accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in SAP by Design and Microsoft Excel
  • Film Production experience an advantage
  • 2–4 years + experience in Assistant Accountant roles

Responsibilities:

  • Processing multi-currency bank statements into SAP
  • Processing, reviewing and reconciling supplier invoices and payments
  • Monitoring AP and AR ledgers, resolving queries, and maintaining relationships
  • Assisting with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Responsible for monthly revenue recognition and allocation of labour to projects
  • Supporting financial reporting and management accounts preparation
  • Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Provide show close reports & analysis vs bidding assumptions
  • Monthly payroll processing and ensuring timely payment
  • General Ledger Reconciliations
  • Help with the yearly Auditing
  • Responsible for managing and collecting company’s cash flow
