Assistant Accountant, 08:00-17:00, Monday-Friday, based in Burnley, up to £30,000-£35,000.

Your new company: I am working with a thriving national business based in Burnley who are now looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. Due to continued business expansion, they are looking to increase their headcount.

Your new role: As Assistant Accountant, you will manage the company cashbook and petty cash, and reconcile company bank accounts. You will process and deal with all debtors and creditors, ensuring transactions are valid and reconciled, maintain the company's fixed asset register processing prepayments, accruals, VAT, supplier reconciliations and bank reconciliations. This is a full-time role, working Monday-Friday 8:00-17:00.

What you'll need to succeed: To be successful in this position, you will have worked in a similar position recently and be able to hit the ground running. You must be incredibly organised, be able to manage your own workload with a self-starter attitude and be confident about picking up new systems. Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, are essential for this role, and ideally have worked on SAP or another ERP system.

What you'll get in return: In return for this, you will be offered a full-time salary of £28,000 per annum. Alongside this, you are offered a range of benefits, including 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, a healthcare cash plan, hybrid working and parking on site.
