Your new role

As a Procurement Officer, you will take the lead on strategic commercial procurement across a wide range of spend categories. You'll play a key role in shaping procurement practices, driving efficiencies, and ensuring robust systems are in place to support organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all stages of the tender process, from documentation and advertisement preparation to contract award and ongoing supplier management.
  • Apply best practice procurement principles and stay informed on industry developments.
  • Maintain central registers and databases for contracts and suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance through data capture and compliance reporting.
  • Influence and embed effective procurement practices across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in procurement/supply chain.
  • Full or part CIPS qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Experience in procurement within complex organisations, in the Third or Public Sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
