Are you a qualified UK teacher who holds a QTS or QTLS? HAYS Education are looking for an Art Teacher to work in schools across East Sussex and surrounding areas. Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers a high-quality supply teaching service, helping schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies. We are dedicated to finding you teaching work to suit your needs and availability, whether you are an art teacher wanting the flexibility of short-term work or the security of a long-term role.

Your new role: In this role you need to be a strong, resilient teacher, working in welcoming and supportive environments that helps students and teachers grow and achieve the best in life. Helping every student find their dream, whilst also giving them the tools and confidence to achieve it.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Mark student work promptly and provide timely feedback.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Confident in delivering a topic/subject to a group.
  • Ability to relate well to pupils.
  • Be enthusiastic when delivering lessons to pupils.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
