Your new role
As a Part-Time Production Team Leader, you will support the launch of a new production line and increased volumes at a busy manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of operators across weekend shifts, ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality running of production operations.This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving performance, maintaining quality standards and fostering a positive, engaged team culture.

Lead, motivate and engage a production team, driving collaboration and performance.

  • Build team capability through training, coaching, onboarding and performance management
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with GMP requirements
  • Champion health & safety, conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices
  • Deliver the production plan, ensuring output targets are consistently achieved
  • Use short interval control and performance data to drive operational efficiency
  • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify, escalate and resolve production issues relating to process, quality, equipment or safety
  • Oversee start-ups, changeovers and shift handovers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tool

What you'll need to succeed

Experience working within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing advantageous)Proven team leadership or supervisory experience
Strong understanding of production processes and operational performance
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement techniques
Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret production data
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving ability
