Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit a Procurement Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to take ownership of the purchasing function, lead a small team, and play a key role in supporting operational and business objectives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies that support business performance, cost efficiency and supply continuity. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality and finance teams, you will drive supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, support inventory optimisation initiatives, and lead continuous improvement activities. You will also provide leadership and development support to a small procurement team.
A minimum of 5 years' procurement experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain and inventory management principles
Excellent commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills
Degree qualified in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline
Project management experience or qualifications
