Architect

Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a local authority in the West of Scotland who are looking to appoint an Architect to join their design team on an ongoing contract basis, expected to last for approximately 6 months. The council have a hybrid working arrangement in place and would require you to be in the office 3 days per week, with the other 2 days available to work from home. Proximity to, or willingness to travel to Ayrshire on a regular basis is therefore essential.

Your new role Projects will be varied, but initially will include work across mainly civic projects. Your role will include:

• Interpreting a client's brief
• Using a mix of Revit & AutoCAD to produce technical drawings.
• Working throughout planning stages up to submission
• Working independently on projects
• Working on technical documentation

What you'll need to succeed:

• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience based in the UK
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (working knowledge of Revit would be beneficial but is not essential)
• Good technical knowledge of relevant Building Regs
• Strong independent worker
