We're recruiting for an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading Civil Engineering team delivering major water infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland & further afield. Ideal for someone with a main contractor background and experience of water or wastewater schemes.

  • Manage all M&E elements across live civil engineering projects and tenders on NI water frameworks.
  • Work closely with designers and subcontractors to develop programmes and track design, procurement, installation and commissioning progress.
  • Identify project risks early and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, tender teams and project teams to ensure design and delivery align with expectations.
  • Provide site supervision, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Support monitoring and performance of MEICA contractors.
  • Coordinate temporary M&E services and contribute to construction methodologies.
  • Support procurement activities for materials and subcontractors.
  • Prepare handover documentation including ITPs, commissioning plans, O&M content and asset returns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across project delivery.

Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HND/HNC/trade considered).

Experience working on water utility or wastewater infrastructure projects.

Strong technical understanding of M&E in industrial or water applications.

Good awareness of construction processes with a focus on buildability.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Electrical/ICA supervisory experience in water/wastewater.

Experience coordinating M&E subcontractors on civil engineering projects.

Awareness of commercial contract forms.
