As a Customer Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers visiting the organisation's offices or making contact through various channels. You will provide an excellent customer experience by responding to enquiries, directing customers to the appropriate service areas, and ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. Providing front-line customer service to visitors, customers, contractors, and staff. Managing incoming telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately. Processing customer payments and maintaining accurate financial records. Handling cash, card payments, banking procedures, and daily reconciliations. Posting and allocating payments using computerised financial systems. Supporting customers with online and digital service transactions. Processing applications, permits, licences, and service requests through various systems. Managing incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and reception administration. Supporting colleagues and providing guidance to relief staff when necessary. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics. At least 2 years' experience within a customer service environment. Experience using computerised systems, including financial or accounting software. Experience handling cash and processing card payments accurately. Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, and GDPR principles.
