Your new company is a well-established and growing organisation based in the Antrim area seeking a recently qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team. Your new role involves reporting to the Head of Finance, taking responsibility for the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring robust financial control and delivering accurate and timely reporting. You will play a key role in group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, while supporting senior leadership with valuable financial insights.

Key duties will include:

  • Weekly sales reporting and forecasting
  • Preparation of management accounts for multiple entities within strict deadlines
  • Balance sheet reviews and identification of financial risks
  • Managing banking processes and ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
  • Overseeing statutory returns including VAT (UK & ROI), PAYE, and other submissions
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Driving continuous improvement in reporting, KPIs, and financial processes
  • Working closely with credit control to enhance policies and improve operational efficiencies

You will also have responsibility for managing and developing a small team, ensuring high performance and a strong culture of compliance within the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed: To be considered, you should be a recently qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA accountant with strong technical ability and a proactive mindset. You will also demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a management accounting role
  • Ideally, some experience managing or supervising staff
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive efficiencies
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Sage or SAP (desirable)
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic
