Electrical Contracts Manager Scotland | £65,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Due to a significant increase in secured workload across major defence, infrastructure and commercial projects, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their leadership team. This well-established M&E contractor has a strong presence across Scotland and a reputation for successfully delivering complex building services projects within the commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public sectors. With a healthy order book and several key project wins, they are looking to strengthen their operational team with the appointment of an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager.

Your new role

As Electrical Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple electrical projects across Scotland, ensuring schemes are completed safely, on programme and within budget. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, you will oversee projects from initial mobilisation through to final handover and client sign-off.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple electrical building services projects simultaneously.
  • Leading project delivery teams across a range of sectors.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
  • Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Monitoring project performance and resource allocation.
  • Working closely with commercial teams to manage costs, variations and valuations.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards.
  • Attending progress meetings and reporting on project performance.
  • Supporting the business in securing repeat and negotiated work opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager within the Building Services sector.
  • A strong technical understanding of electrical installations and M&E project delivery.
  • Experience delivering projects ranging from £1m to £20m+.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • A recognised Electrical qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience within defence, healthcare, data centre, education or large-scale commercial projects would be advantageous.
