Your new role
This organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join the finance team within the UK. In this role your responsibilities will vary however your main goal will be to maintain the purchase ledger function and provide general support to the finance department. Duties and responsibilities will vary from the following:
• Processing invoices as well as credit notes
• Matching purchase orders and coding them
• Resolving supplier queries• Building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders• Reconciling supplier statements
• Processing payments and managing the petty cash
• Ensure that there is a timely payment of invoices
• Provide assistance with month-end close procedures
• Maintaining accurate records and filing documentation
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed within this role and within this growing company, you will need to confidently show that:
• You have previous experience within a purchase ledger/accounts payable role• You have strong numerical skills• You have accurate data entry skills• Excellent attention to detail• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and finance software systems• You have a strong ability to work well within a pressurised environment and to deadlines.
