This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance experience and strong Excel skills who is looking for a varied role with plenty of exposure across the finance function. The Role Working closely with the wider finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and reporting duties, including: Bank reconciliations and cash reporting Posting journals and maintaining the general ledger Producing and submitting promotional and financial data returns Weekly KPI reporting and analysis Processing payment runs Balance sheet reconciliations and nominal ledger reviews Supporting month-end and period-end accounting activities Raising sales ledger invoices Processing purchase ledger invoices and resolving supplier queries Assisting with ad hoc finance projects as required What do you need to demonstrate To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent accounting knowledge) Strong Excel skills, including the use of formulas and pivot tables Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong organisational and time management abilities A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner What you'll get in return Salary of £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience Permanent, full-time opportunity Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Supportive and friendly team environment Opportunity to gain exposure across multiple areas of finance Immediate start available What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
