Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are now looking for a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

The Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. You will lead projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and specification of mechanical building services systems (HVAC, public health, etc.)
  • Manage projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and handover
  • Produce and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Attend client meetings and provide expert technical advice
  • Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK standards and regulations (CIBSE, Building Regulations, etc.)
  • Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a building services consultancy environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards and best practices
  • Experience using industry software (e.g. Hevacomp, IES, Revit, AutoCAD)
  • Ideally working towards or already Chartered (CIBSE/IMechE)
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
