Hays Travel’s Events team is responsible for researching, arranging, and delivering a wide range of events, from small meetings for key stakeholders to large overseas conferences for hundreds of delegates.
As a key member of our small and dynamic team you will be involved in planning and delivering events for both internal and external colleagues and customers, in the UK and overseas.
You will interact with internal and external customers and suppliers during the event planning stages – then see the results of your efforts as you attend the event itself, to ensure everything runs as planned and all success criteria are met.
You will be responsible for conducting a range of administrative and customer service activities to allow our events to be delivered on time and in a professional way.
Exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and make sounds decisions while multi-tasking across a number of events are vital qualities to succeed in this role. You won’t be alone though, you will join a small, busy team of friendly and experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with internal and external customers, always delivering exceptional customer service
- Assisting in researching and sourcing venues and suppliers for UK and overseas events
- Managing event registration
- General administration tasks, including updating internal document records
- Liaising with internal head office departments
- Preparing meeting packs and agendas for planned conferences and events
- Providing on-site event delivery and support
- Supporting post event evaluations and de-briefs to capture lessons learned
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and adapt to shifting deadlines and requirements
- Detail orientated
- A clear and effective communicator with the ability to liaise with internal and external customers
