About New to Travel
This programme is open to candidates who are target-driven, with a passion for travel, and have one year sales target experience. You’ll receive intensive virtual classroom training; where you’ll learn all about our systems, products, and destinations, before joining a Hays Travel branch near you. The New to Travel Programme is a fully paid six-month intensive training schedule for anyone already in a retail or target-driven sales-based role. Upon successful completion of this training, you’ll transition into a permanent Travel Consultant role in one of our retail branches.
What to expect
Your first ten weeks will be spent in a virtual classroom training environment with your fellow New to Travel colleagues. During this time, our dedicated Learning and Development team will show you the ‘Hays Way’ on our service ethos, top techniques in sales, how to use our systems, and provide a knowledge foundation about the various products we offer. The New to Travel Programme promises to equip you with excellent knowledge, insights, and tips to become a successful Travel Consultant within the Hays Travel family. You'll then work alongside our Travel Consultants in a branch, our Regional Sales Manager, and our Learning and Development team to refine your skills. At the end of the six-month programme, you'll take the final assessment. Upon successful completion, you’ll begin your career as a Travel Consultant with Hays Travel.
