Your new role
As the successful candidate, your duties will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning activities.
- Providing financial insight and guidance to budget holders and non-finance stakeholders.
- Overseeing billing, credit control and payroll processes.
- Supporting audit requirements, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Maintaining and strengthening financial controls across the organisation.
- Developing meaningful management information, reporting and KPIs for senior stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and efficiencies.
- Supporting and developing members of the finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need:
- A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent finance experience.
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar position.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management accounting capability.
- Experience producing accurate financial reports and analysis.
- Excellent Excel and finance systems skills.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to stakeholder management.
- Experience within education, charity or other purpose-led organisations would be advantageous.
