CONTRACTOR MUST BE SC CLEARED (ACTIVE)

My client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled DNS Architect to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance Domain Name System (DNS) solutions. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of network naming services across enterprise and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in DNS technologies with strong architectural, troubleshooting, and automation capabilities.

Your New Role

  • Design and develop scalable DNS architectures across enterprise and cloud platforms
  • Manage and optimise DNS platforms (BIND, Microsoft DNS, Infoblox, AWS Route 53, Azure DNS)
  • Lead DNS strategy including scalability, high availability, and performance optimisation
  • Oversee DNS migrations, upgrades, and transformations
  • Implement and maintain DNS security (DNSSEC, DDoS protection, threat mitigation)
  • Monitor performance, availability, and ensure robust incident response processes
  • Act as escalation point for complex DNS/network issues and lead root cause analysis
  • Drive automation using scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and best practices

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Active SC Clearance (essential)
  • Expert knowledge of DNS protocols (recursion, caching, TCP/UDP, zone transfers)
