Hays are now looking for an SC Cleared, Portfolio Test Manager for one of our local clients: £590 p/d Inside IR35 6 Month+ Contract 2 days p/w in Telfore, the rest is WFH. Candidates must hold current SC Clearance.

Quality Assurance Lead (Data Product Delivery)

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to support the delivery of data and analytics projects within a large portfolio. You will provide quality assurance governance across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to testing standards, best practice, and overall delivery quality throughout the full software development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead QA governance and assurance across a portfolio of projects.
  • Review and approve Test Strategies and Test Completion Reports.
  • Monitor quality trends, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to QA Leads, QA Engineers, and delivery teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, technical leads, engagement managers, etc.
  • Contribute to resource planning, recruitment, mentoring, and capability development within the QA community.
  • Support complex project deliveries with QA strategy, planning, and risk management.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience leading Quality Assurance and Test Governance across large-scale IT programmes.
  • Excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Experience reviewing test strategies, quality metrics, and delivery assurance activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across multiple delivery teams.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating delivery and quality risks.
  • Previous experience mentoring QA professionals and supporting capability development.
