We are seeking a Data & AI Governance Specialist to support the growth and maturity of an enterprise-wide Data & AI Governance function. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in strengthening data governance, supporting responsible AI adoption, and improving the quality, visibility and control of organisational data assets. Working closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, governance leaders and key business stakeholders, you will help embed governance practices that enable data-driven decision making, analytics, automation and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Data & AI governance processes, forums and reporting
  • Administer Microsoft Purview, including metadata, business glossary and data catalogue management
  • Produce governance metrics, dashboards and management information
  • Support Data Owners and Data Stewards with governance activities
  • Maintain governance documentation, audit records and evidence
  • Assist with AI governance reviews, compliance monitoring and assurance activities
  • Help drive governance awareness and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Experience

  • Microsoft Purview experience
  • Background in Data Governance or Information Governance
  • Experience with data catalogues, metadata and governance frameworks
  • Strong reporting, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience producing governance metrics and management information

Desirable

  • Data stewardship experience
  • Audit and compliance support
  • DAMA, Microsoft or governance certifications
  • Experience within a large, complex organisation
