Your new organisation is a well-established organisation undergoing continued investment in its cyber security capabilities and digital services. This role reports directly to the CISO and sits within a growing security function responsible for protecting a complex hybrid environment spanning on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms and supplier-managed services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cyber security professional who enjoys a blend of security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, security assurance and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in improving security controls, reducing organisational risk and enhancing cyber resilience across the business.
The role responsibilities:
- Provide a proactive and consistent cyber security operations and assurance capability across the organisation.
- Conduct day-to-day security monitoring activities.
- Support incident response processes.
- Manage vulnerability remediation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of security controls, policies and procedures.
You will need:
- Strong experience in cyber security operations, security monitoring and incident response.
- Good understanding of SIEM, EDR and network monitoring technologies.
- Experience investigating security incidents across cloud, endpoint and network environments.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and remediation tracking.
- Understanding of modern cyber threats, attack techniques and security controls.
- Ability to analyse security data and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong documentation, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- 1 or more of SC-200, CySA+, Security+, GCIH or GMON, CISSP.
