Your new company is a high-performing secondary school located in the Leftwich area of Cheshire, serving a diverse and supportive community. Leaders have created a calm, inclusive and aspirational environment where students are motivated to succeed and staff are well-supported to deliver high-quality teaching and learning. They have a strong IT team in place, also working closely with an external provider and, due to a current absence in the school, they are seeking an IT Technician to provide some interim support.
Your new role involves delivering high-quality first-line support across the school, working closely with staff and pupils. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of IT systems, devices and infrastructure that underpin teaching, learning and operational services. You will troubleshoot technical issues, support users, and assist with hardware, software, and network maintenance, while contributing to wider IT projects and continuous service improvement. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering reliable, secure and effective IT services.
What you'll need to succeed: In order to be successful, you will have significant IT support experience, ideally with experience working in the education sector. You will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, as well as experience of supporting both hardware and software issues. This role is due to start on the 15th June and continue for around 6 weeks, therefore you must be available for the duration of the role.
