We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Installation Team Lead to lead the installation and delivery of technical security systems within highly secure government environments. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, supporting projects across the UK and overseas locations.
Security Clearance & Travel
Applicants must currently hold DV (Developed Vetting) clearance or be fully eligible and willing to obtain DV clearance. This role will require some overseas travel. Therefore, candidates must be able and willing to travel internationally as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation teams on secure site deployments.
- Review designs, specifications and project documentation.
- Complete material take-offs and support equipment ordering.
- Test and prepare systems for deployment.
- Produce Health & Safety documentation and delivery plans.
- Manage installation activities on-site and coordinate resources.
- Liaise with customers, stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and on-the-job training.
- Ensure installations are delivered safely and to government security standards.
Technical Experience Required
- Hands-on experience installing and commissioning one or more of the following:
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV Systems
- Public Address Systems
- Structured Cabling & Infrastructure
- Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
- Hanwha
- I-Pro
- Hirsch / Identiv
- ASL / Zenitel
- Bosch
- Presideo
- Candidates should also have experience with:
- Metallic and PVC containment systems
- Premises cabling and infrastructure installations
- Electrical testing requirements and standards
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering installations within secure environments.
- Level 3 qualification in an Electrical or Electronic discipline.
- SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Current ECS Card (Installation or Approved Competency level).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience supervising installation teams and managing site activities.
- Competent in Microsoft Visio, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a technically strong installation professional with experience leading teams on complex security systems projects within secure or government environments, whilst maintaining a hands-on approach when required.
Contract: 12 Months
Location: UK with overseas travel as required
