We're looking for an SC Cleared Functional Tester for one of our local clients.
- £438 p/d Inside IR355 - 5 days a week on-site (may reduce over time) - Location is Leicester or Winchester - Must hold current SC Clearance
In the role you will support a project focused on identity and matching services.
You'll be responsible for functional and automated testing across backend systems, APIs and web services.
Responsibilities
Create, execute and maintain functional and automated test suites for identity and matching workflows.
Develop and enhance automation frameworks and test scripts.
Build test datasets, input messages and validation criteria for a variety of business scenarios.
Validate APIs, web services and system integrations.
Carry out functional, operational and non-functional testing activities.
Log, investigate and manage defects through to closure.
Work closely with developers, architects and business stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met.
Help improve testing processes, tooling and automation practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
Current SC Clearance Proven experience in Functional Testing within complex enterprise environments.
Strong test automation experience.
Experience testing backend platforms and service-based architectures.
Good understanding of APIs, XML and SOAP messaging.
Ability to create detailed test scenarios, test data and expected results.
Experience with defect management, reporting and test governance.
Comfortable working independently within Agile delivery teams.
Experience using JMeter.
Experience using Jira.
Experience using Zephyr or similar test management tools.
Strong XML knowledge.
Experience testing SOAP-based services.
Exposure to identity management, biometric solutions or matching technologies would be advantageous.
