Your new company: This is a growing and ambitious multi-academy trust committed to delivering exceptional educational outcomes and creating opportunities for every child to thrive. Serving communities across the North West, the trust supports a diverse family of primary and secondary schools based in Manchester and Liverpool, united by a shared vision of educational excellence, continuous improvement and strong community impact. The trust currently operates across two hubs and is known for its collaborative approach, enabling schools to benefit from shared expertise, resources and strategic leadership. The trust places people at the heart of its success, investing heavily in the development of its staff while fostering a culture built on ambition, innovation and partnership. With an exciting period of growth and transformation underway, this is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that is committed to modernising services, embracing new ways of working and ensuring that every school has the support it needs to deliver outstanding experiences for pupils, staff and wider communities.

Your new role: In this role as IT lead, you will support the delivery and development of reliable, secure and effective IT services across the Trust, ensuring technology supports teaching, learning and day-to-day operations, working closely with the wider IT team, IT Director and CFO. You will take ownership of IT provision within your allocated school in Trafford, occasionally with travel required to other schools, providing proactive and reactive technical support, maintaining hardware, software, networks and infrastructure, and ensuring staff and students receive a responsive and high-quality service. You will work closely with school leaders, central IT colleagues and external suppliers to resolve technical issues, manage service tickets, support system updates, maintain accurate asset records and implement Trust-wide IT policies. The role will also involve building strong relationships with staff, advising users on the safe and effective use of technology, supporting wider systems such as telephony, CCTV and access control, and contributing to school-based IT projects as part of a developing in-house technical support team.

What you'll need to succeed: In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have experience of providing on-site IT support, ideally with experience working in the education sector. You will have a proactive approach to IT support with strong communication skills and, from a technical perspective, will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other bespoke educational technologies.

What you'll get in return: This is an exciting time to join a growing trust, where their new centralised IT team will grow and evolve over time, therefore allowing for further career opportunities. In return, you will be paid a competitive salary of between £31,000 and £34,000 dependent on experience, and an attractive benefits package. This includes a local government pension scheme, 25 days holiday (plus bank), access to an employee assistance programme which offers a free online GP service and other healthcare support. In addition, they are currently in the process of installing EV charging points available to staff at a discounted rate.
