Hays are now looking for a Lead Java Developer for one of our local clients: £377 p/d Outside IR35 3 days a week in Glasgow, rest is WFH 6 month+ contract.
The Lead Java Developer will have strong experience leading teams and delivering enterprise Java applications in Agile environments.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading a Java development team and working with Product Owners, BAs, Testers and other stakeholders
- Designing and delivering enterprise web applications and microservices
- Producing and contributing to solution and architecture designs
- Supporting CI/CD, performance optimisation and cloud deployments
- Driving best practice across development and delivery
What we're looking for:
- Java 8+
- Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Microservices and REST APIs
- JUnit 4/5
- AWS
- Oracle and/or MongoDB
- Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD
- Git
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Client-facing experience
- Experience producing High Level Designs and architecture artefacts
- Performance monitoring tools (e.g. Glowroot, JProfiler) desirable
