Data Protection Manager

We are seeking a London-based proactive and detail-oriented Data Protection Manager to support our outsourced DPO. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data protection. You will work closely with experienced DPOs and be the point of contact across the business.Applicants must have a minimum of 2-3 years\’ duration in previous roles, no short stints / job hopping please. Key Responsibilities: Support the DPOaaS team. Conduct data protection audits and prepare compliance reports with actionable recommendations. Assist with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs). Monitor and interpret changes in UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other relevant regulations. Help maintain and improve clients\’ data protection frameworks, policies, and procedures. Provide training and awareness sessions to client staff on data protection best practices. Collaborate with legal, IT, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with data protection requirements. Escalate risks and issues to the DPO as needed.Requirements: Strong understanding of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and related legislation. Experience in a data protection, compliance, or information governance role. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and manage outsourced services. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or BCS Data Protection Practitioner) are desirable.
