A leading financial services organisation is hiring an experienced Data Governance Lead to support a critical, engineering-led initiative. This role will focus on designing and delivering a risk-based data prioritisation methodology for engineering data and records, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business priorities.

Working across engineering, data, and risk teams, you will play a key role in defining how critical data is identified, prioritised, and governed, and in developing a clear roadmap to achieve compliance and improve data governance maturity. This is a hands-on delivery role, requiring someone who has successfully implemented similar frameworks in complex, regulated environments.

  • Hybrid - 3 days / week in the office
  • Duration - Initial 6 months
  • Rate - 750 - 900 / day Inside IR35 via Umbrella

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a risk-based data prioritisation methodology, including scoring criteria aligned to business value, risk, and regulatory exposure.
  • Adapt existing enterprise data governance policies to the engineering environment.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across engineering, data, and risk to drive alignment and secure buy-in.
  • Apply the methodology to identify and prioritise critical engineering datasets and records.
  • Develop a pragmatic roadmap and implementation plan to achieve data conformance.
