We are working with a large public body to seek a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for the extraction, analysis, and presentation of data from complex databases and datasets. This role requires a strong analytical background and proficiency in using various analysis and query tools in a practical work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract data from complex databases/datasets using analysis and query tools.
- Analyse, interpret, and present complex statistical information from a range of systems and sources.
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams) to manage and present data.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Plan and organize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
Essential Criteria
- 4 years' experience in data extraction, analysis, and presentation from complex databases/datasets using analysis and query tools in a practical work environment.
- OR Diploma for Accounting Technicians (ATI) or equivalent (Level 5 qualification) with 2 years' experience in data extraction, analysis, and presentation from complex databases/datasets using analysis and query tools in a practical work environment.
- OR An honours degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Technology, or other relevant discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Hold a current full driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car upon appointment. This criterion will be waived for applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to approved transport to carry out the duties of the post.
This role will be a hybrid role in Newtownards. Although the role is initially for a 3-month period there is a high possibility of an extension.
