My client is seeking an experienced Network Design Engineer to support a major FX trading platform programme. The role will focus on the design, implementation and enhancement of complex, low-latency network infrastructure within a large-scale financial markets environment.
£700 per day (Inside IR35) London (Hybrid, 3 days per week) 12 Month Contract
Key Requirements- Demonstrable experience in a Network Design Engineer, Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer role
- Strong enterprise network design and implementation experience within large-scale environments
- Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies
- Proven experience designing and supporting multicast network environments
- Strong firewall expertise across Fortinet, Palo Alto and/or Check Point
- Extensive F5 Load Balancer experience
- Experience working with NAT technologies, including source NAT and destination NAT
- Previous experience delivering network solutions within financial services, trading, capital markets or other low-latency environments
- Experience producing and reviewing detailed network designs and technical documentation
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Strong understanding of network security best practices
- Cisco Fabric (ACI)
- Juniper and/or Arista
- CCIE certification
- Firewall migration programmes
- Data centre transformation or network modernisation experience
- Trading platform experience
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice
