The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Your new company is a Tier 1 Financial Services organisation. This role will be based out of either the Exeter office or Nottingham office. Must be able to commute to one of these locations. If this is not doable, then will need to commute to London.

Your new role includes:

  • Performing business analysis to understand data definitions and usage.
  • Designing and producing conceptual and physical data models.
  • Identifying data entities and defining relationships based on business context and processes.
  • Creating source-to-target mappings for systems.
  • Supporting intra-system data design and embedding metadata management practices.
  • Participating in governance activities, including review forums and adherence to standards.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Good understanding of financial reference and/or market reference data.
  • Data modelling skills and a working knowledge of the difference between conceptual, logical and physical models.
  • In-depth knowledge of database structures for reference data as well as methods of working for sourcing and capturing this data.
  • Understanding of UML and ERD for logical data models is essential for this role.
  • Understanding of RDBMS's and proficiency with SQL.
  • Experience of Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, or other visual data modelling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio.
  • Understanding of JSON and/or XML is essential.
