Contract - Paying between £550 to £700 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in South Wales, Hybrid Working, To Start ASAP
We're seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to support and enhance critical enterprise platforms within a complex production environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead major incident resolution, drive automation, improve operational resilience and act as a senior escalation point for business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical recovery during major incidents and service outages
- Provide 3rd line support across core operational platforms
- Manage and optimise job scheduling, monitoring and operational tooling
- Support SQL Server environments, troubleshooting performance and availability issues
- Drive automation through PowerShell and process improvement initiatives
- Support change, release, DR and business continuity activities
- Work closely with infrastructure, development and security teams to ensure stable and reliable services
What you'll need to succeed:
- Strong background in IT Operations, Production Support or Infrastructure environments
- Hands-on Unisys experience
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools, ideally OpCon
- SQL Server administration and troubleshooting
- Windows Server, PowerShell and SFTP
- Major Incident Management and problem resolution
- ITIL / ITSM experience
