Your new company
Working for a globally renowned legal firm.
Your new role
The EMEA FMS Business Data Lead will own the business-side data strategy for this legal firm's migration from SAP to Aderant, ensuring that all client/matter, timekeeper, financial, and P2P/R2R datasets are accurately defined, mapped, cleansed, and approved for each migration cycle.
Serving as the authoritative voice on data meaning, lineage, and acceptance, the role acts as the central link between Finance, Legal Operations, and IT-setting standards, clarifying golden sources, and ensuring the programme adheres to consistent governance and quality expectations. This position leads requirements gathering, design workshops, and business reviews across stakeholder groups, translating complex operational needs into clear specifications and documentation.
The Data Lead will own the SAP to Aderant conversion map, guide global and regional taxonomy decisions, drive data cleansing and reconciliation controls, oversee validation and UAT, and coordinate business sign-off for all test and production migration waves. As the single accountable business decision-maker on data, the role ensures issues are resolved swiftly, decisions are documented, and governance frameworks are embedded to support a stable, trusted data landscape going forward.
What you'll need to succeed

- Deep practical understanding of SAP financial/process data (e.g., FI/CO, SD/PS; AP, AR, GL, treasury), including document flow and reconciliation.
- Hands-on data mapping and conversion leadership with Aderant (Expert/Sierra) or similar PMS; comfortable with conversion cycles and balancing.
- Strong data governance skills: ownership models, lineage, quality controls, and sign-off procedures.
- Excellent stakeholder management across Finance, IT, Legal Ops and vendor/partners.
What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available.
