This is a hands-on role with real autonomy, supporting day-to-day system performance while driving improvements and integration activity across the business.
You'll sit close to senior stakeholders and will be the go-to person for business-critical systems - ensuring stability, improving usability, and helping teams get more value from the ERP and associated applications.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning and improving the organisation's ERP platform (administration, configuration, user support, optimisation)
- Supporting and enhancing the SQL database environment (T-SQL, views, stored procedures, performance)
- Driving systems integration between ERP and other business applications (including bespoke systems)
- Managing the document management environment (SharePoint), including structure, governance and permissions
- Leading system upgrades, improvements and small-to-mid-sized change initiatives
- Working with stakeholders across functions to align systems to operational needs and improve adoption
- Maintaining core procedures and documentation, and delivering user guidance/training where needed
- Liaising with third parties and internal IT colleagues to keep systems resilient, supported and secure
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in ERP administration (Syspro ideal, but comparable ERP considered)
- Solid hands-on MS SQL Server capability (T-SQL, views, stored procedures)
- Experience integrating business systems and improving data/process flow
- Confident stakeholder engagement - able to translate business requirements into practical system outcomes
- Practical, delivery-focused mindset - you can diagnose issues quickly and implement improvements cleanly
- Exposure to SharePoint / document management principles (permissions, structure, governance)
Useful extras (nice to have):
- Multi-system integration experience (XSLT or similar for data switching/integration tools)
- Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory (or Azure AD)
- Basic infrastructure understanding (networks, backups, DR)
- Project leadership experience (light-touch PM is fine)
If you're available for a 6-month contract or can start at short notice and enjoy owning and improving core business systems in a fast-paced environment, apply now.
