DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the People Services Departmental Management Team in contributing to the delivery of the People Services delivery plan, People Strategy and Target Operating Model through leading and driving team resources through coaching and mentoring.
- Ensuring underperformance/capability issues are addressed to ensure a significant contribution to the delivery of a best-in-class people service.
- To ensure that service delivery complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, the organisation's policies and procedures and appropriate legislation within the area of expertise.
- To support the Head of Service and Assistant Director of HR in the continual development of the service, ensuring innovative best practice ideas are embedded across the service.
- To ensure that all services are delivered with a high level of customer focus, solution-focused approaches, ensuring People Services Delivery and Advice provides prompt solutions at the appropriate levels.
- To contribute to the development of relevant policies and procedures within your area of professional expertise, ensuring that it continually supports the strategic direction of the People Service and aims.
- To provide leadership, support and development to People Services staff, to ensure that relevant professional standards are met through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- To proactively seek new opportunities to build relationships and provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective people service to the organisation in a blended face-to-face digital.
- To deputise for the relevant Head of Service as required to ensure the continued operational delivery of the service.
- To support the Head of People Services Delivery on the creation and implementation of the HRIS and Technology strategies and delivery of the associated action/improvement plans in order to continually develop and provide an effective and efficient People Delivery service to our customers.
- To work collaboratively across the department and other directorates in embedding the Oracle HR platform into service delivery, ensuring regular user testing, maintenance and training opportunities are undertaken and provided for colleagues as required.
- To ensure that the Oracle HR platform is adaptable to meet user needs, ensuring, through highly skilled leadership, you are able to utilise a whole range of tools within the platform.
