An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to lead a high-performing management reporting function within a large and complex organisation. The successful candidate will take ownership of the management accounts team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial information that supports both operational and strategic decision-making.

Working as part of the senior finance leadership team, this role will play a key part in strengthening financial control, enhancing business performance and driving continuous improvement across financial reporting processes.

You will be responsible for leading the management reporting function, delivering high-quality financial insight to support strategic decision-making, driving reporting transformation and ensuring strong financial control across a complex multi-site organisation. The role combines technical accounting expertise, commercial analysis and stakeholder management, with responsibility for developing a high-performing finance team and supporting executive-level reporting.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience gained within a complex organisation.
  • Proven leadership experience within Management Accounting, Financial Reporting or Finance Business Partnering.
  • Strong people management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent management accounting, financial analysis and performance reporting expertise.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and reporting frameworks.
  • The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
  • A commercial mindset, capable of translating financial data into actionable business insight.
  • Experience driving finance transformation, process improvement and reporting enhancements.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
  • Outstanding communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
