You will be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking university that is committed to leveraging technology to enhance the student lifecycle from application through to award. The university values innovation and efficiency in managing student information systems.
Your new role
As the Banner Technical Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing the student information system. This includes development and configuration work to meet the University's business requirements, focusing on business workflow, experience cards, and report writing in Banner. You will report to the Development and Testing Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the system's smooth operation and alignment with SaaS safe development practices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Banner analysis, design, and configuration, with a strong understanding of SaaS safe development practices.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and analyse business requirements and interpret design workflows into functional processes.
- Problem-Solving: Competence in managing and resolving issues arising from testing to ensure work items meet expected requirements and specifications.
- Planning and Organisation: Capability to plan your workload, report progress, and manage risks and dependencies using the RAID log.
- Quality Control: Experience in preparing products for User Acceptance Testing and ensuring quality controls are applied correctly.
- Documentation: Skill in documenting all work according to agreed standards to facilitate understanding amongst other system administrators.
