Tax Director

Tax Director Location: Maidenhead Type: Permanent Reporting and Team Management Reporting directly to the Tax Partner and other partners, the successful candidate will manage a tax team comprising 5 CTAs and 3 ATT trainees. They will oversee the profitable delivery of the firm\’s tax compliance and advisory services and contribute to expanding the firm\’s client base. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Oversee tax compliance and advisory functions. Manage a client portfolio, providing high-quality service. Offer detailed tax advice on matters including: OMB tax planning Business sales, acquisitions, and transactional matters CGT and IHT Employment-related securities Non-resident and non-domiciled tax planning/advice Tax enquiry work and review of Self Assessment tax returns, self-employed accounts, and rental accounts Ensure compliance with the firm\’s policies and procedures. Employer Expectations The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of establishing client confidence and growing the tax practice. They should be self-motivated, energetic, and able to work independently to meet deadlines. The candidate will typically hold accountancy and CTA qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years\’ post-qualification experience in both tax compliance and advisory roles. Possessing both qualifications is advantageous given the firm\’s diverse work.
