As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will be responsible for packaging chemicals into various containers and ensuring compliance with strict safety and quality procedures. You will receive training to progress to Manufacturing Technician II within 12 months.

Pay rate: £13.20/hour

Hours: 37.5 per week

Duration: Full-time | 12-month contract

Location: Loughborough - Bishop Meadow Road (On-site)

Shift Pattern: One shift Monday to Thursday (Friday and Monday off) - then Tuesday to Friday

Working hours: 06:00 - 17:00 No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow work orders and packaging specifications
  • Operate packaging and filling equipment (manual & automated)
  • Pack chemicals into various container types and sizes
  • Measure and weigh raw materials accurately
  • Verify batch numbers, chemical codes, and labelling accuracy
  • Palletize finished goods and prepare for warehouse transfer
  • Perform routine safety checks and adhere to SOPs
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and COSH regulations
  • Report incidents and maintain safety documentation
  • Conduct quality inspections and maintain quality records
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance
