Your new company is a large, established, agricultural-based company looking to expand their team for a Weighbridge Operative based in Belfast.
Your new role involves:
- Opening and closing the weighbridge and being the point of contact for yard personnel to enter/exit or in case of an emergency.
- Weighing lorries in and out at the weighbridges.
- Dealing with customer and in-house queries.
- Directing drivers regarding locations to collect from or deliver to.
- Maintaining weighbridge records and reconciling stocks; reporting anomalies to the management team.
- Reconciling ship discharge figures and ensuring accuracy of details in D365 and weighbridge systems.
- Assisting in basic maintenance of weighbridge and weighbridge communications.
- Performing basic admin duties on the site thermal camera system.
- Running system reports to track data accuracy.
- Reconciling invoices before passing to Operations Manager for approval.
- Operating the SCADA control systems to assist drivers with loading as required.
- Booking haulage, including creation of fixing numbers.
- Monitoring thermal cameras and responding to alarms by clearing them as necessary.
- Taking responsibility for all tasks relating to the weighbridges, including reboots, zeroing, and replacement of paper in printers.
- Booking in stock and populating bin quantities/commodities across silo bins following vessel discharge.
- Reconciling silo boards with D365 daily.
You will also be required to maintain high safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards, look after the upkeep of the weighbridge facilities, take product temperature readings, take samples and dispatch them to relevant laboratories, monitor and check CCTV systems, check trailers for cleanliness, conduct safety inductions of contractors and visitors, and ensure that drivers, contractors, and visitors adhere to site rules while maintaining professional and cordial relations with all parties.
What you'll need to succeed:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in Operations/Logistics & Planning, which should include administrative duties or weighbridge operating, or a high level of administrative experience with a willingness to learn in an operational environment.
- Must be customer-focused and have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if required and 1 in 3 weekends.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs.
- IT Skills: computer-literate with the ability to analyse data, produce reports, and maximise the potential of business computer systems.
