A well-established and supportive Mufti Academy Trust in West Yorkshire has contacted Hays looking for an interim IT Technician to start immediately in schools around the Wakefield area. The trust is known for its strong community values and commitment to delivering high-quality learning environments.
As an IT Technician, you'll provide day-to-day technical support across the Trust, ensuring staff and students can work and learn without disruption. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with solid school-based IT experience who can hit the ground running. You'll work Monday-Thursday, 8:00-16:00, and Friday, 8:00-15:30, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Providing first line IT support across the school
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Maintaining devices, peripherals, and classroom technologies
- Supporting staff with technical queries and system access
- Ensuring ICT suites and AV equipment operate smoothly
- Assisting with general IT administration and maintenance tasks
- Previous experience working as an IT Technician in a school setting
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Availability to start immediately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
