Your new company Hays is partnering with a large public sector organisation in Belfast to appoint a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a delivery-focused recruitment project. This is an opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end hiring across hard-to-fill technical roles, influencing attraction strategy and working closely with senior stakeholders.
Your new role includes:
- Delivering end-to-end recruitment from job design through to onboarding.
- Redesigning job descriptions and attraction messaging to improve response rates.
- Advising hiring managers on selection methods, assessment formats, and best practice.
- Developing creative sourcing approaches to engage passive technical talent.
- Supporting recruitment events and awareness activity.
- Ensuring recruitment activity aligns with legislation, governance, and internal processes.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven in-house Talent Acquisition experience, with strong HR grounding.
- Confidence advising on recruitment legislation and best practice.
- Track record of recruiting hard-to-fill technical or engineering positions.
- Comfortable operating as a standalone TA specialist in a campus-led environment.
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
- CIPD is desirable.
What you'll get in return:
- Fixed-term contract of at least 6 months.
- 36 hours per week.
- £22.82 per hour.
- On-site during induction, then typically 1 day working from home post-induction, with potential for increased home working.
