Your new company is a well-established manufacturing business in the Strabane area seeking a Quality Manager to lead and develop its quality function. Operating within a highly regulated environment, the company is committed to delivering products that consistently meet customer requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a pivotal role in driving compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the business.

Your new role involves taking ownership of the Quality Management System, ensuring all company procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards are maintained and continuously improved. You will oversee quality assurance activities across the manufacturing operation, manage customer and supplier non-conformances, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective and preventative actions. The role will involve supporting external audits, including ISO 9001 and BRC audits, conducting internal audits, managing quality documentation, and working closely with production teams to drive quality performance. You will also provide training, monitor quality trends, support continuous improvement initiatives, and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders across the business. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to Health & Safety and Environmental activities as the role develops.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Manager or similar quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading and participating in external audits, including ISO and BRC standards
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, quality control procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, and BRC standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience conducting root-cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Previous team leadership experience with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
