With a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million-pound infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe, the company continues to play a key role in supporting the transition to renewable energy through the delivery of large-scale sustainable infrastructure projects.

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this major energy infrastructure scheme based in Germany. This opportunity will see you involved in one of Europe's most significant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) developments - a landmark project that will provide 1GW of power output and up to 5,700MWh of storage capacity, supporting the integration of renewable energy into Germany's national grid. Duties will include:

  • Supervising direct and subcontract labour
  • Quality assurance
  • Document control
  • Conducting site inspections
  • Monitoring progress against programme
  • Managing technical queries
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with specifications and health & safety requirements

You will work closely with the Site Management team and other engineering professionals on a technically challenging project, gaining invaluable experience within the rapidly growing renewable energy and energy storage sector.

To be successful in this role, you should be a highly motivated Site Engineer who is eager to further develop your career within major civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline and have previous experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure, energy or utility projects. You should be proficient in setting out and surveying using Total Stations, GPS and other modern surveying equipment, whilst also being capable of interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. Due to the location of the project, you must be willing to work on a rotational basis in Germany.

This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading contractor delivering one of Europe's largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) developments. You will gain invaluable experience working on a landmark renewable energy project that will play a significant role in supporting Germany's energy transition while further enhancing your expertise on major infrastructure schemes. In return for your hard work, you will receive a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • 30% salary uplift for working away from home
  • Tax-free living away allowance
  • Company vehicle or car allowance, plus fuel card
  • Annual discretionary bonus

  • Company pension contribution of up to 6%
  • Death in Service benefit after 3 months' service
  • Annual salary review each January
