Your new company Hays are delighted to have been retained by our client, a specialist Civil Engineering and Piling Contractor who operates throughout the UK and Ireland. With a fantastic annual turnover and growth projected for 2025, our client has a temporary requirement for a suitably qualified Site Engineer to join their team. This contractor specialises in heavy civils projects for residential, commercial, and public authorities with values ranging from up to £20M. This position is exclusively based in Northern Ireland within the Northern Ireland water framework. Your new role Based on an upcoming scheme in Belfast, this contractor now requires a Site Engineer to be involved in all aspects of engineering and site supervision on an ongoing sewer replacement scheme. Your role will be to provide support when required whilst ensuring productivity is optimised. Dealing directly with multiple stakeholders including clients and public bodies, this role will be suited to a strong individual who is capable of driving schemes forward. This is initially a temporary role for 3 months, with scope for further long-term work in the Greater Belfast area. What you’ll need to succeed To succeed as a Site Engineer, it is essential that you have relevant experience in a similar role, working on fast-paced Civils schemes. To be considered for this role you should hold strong communication skills and hold a successful track record of supervising labourers and groundworkers on site. You should be capable of reading & potentially amending designs and be confident in using setting out and surveying equipment such as a Totalstation and GPS.
