Your new company Your new company is recognised as one of Northern Ireland's leading & most accredited building and civil engineering contractors who, due to recent contract awards across a major water framework, are now seeking a Site Engineer to join their award-winning team. Having been established for over 70 years, the company has built a reputation for successfully delivering on an extensive portfolio of major, £multi-million projects across the UK & Ireland in all aspects of construction, specialising in the education, residential, healthcare & hospitality sectors. Having recently secured multiple projects for the ongoing water infrastructure upgrades, this role will provide a Senior Engineer with experience in civils works, with a great chance to join a reputable Northern Irish Contractor. Your new role As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of engineering on this major Water framework based across NI and ROI. You will oversee a small team and ensure works are carried out to the highest standard and that client expectations are met in a timely and budgeted manner. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project is progressing within programme and that all stakeholders are kept informed of works. You will be tasked with checking drawings and quantities to ensure that work is delivered in accordance with the specification. You must be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the civil industry and have strong communication skills to liaise with your team and subcontractors. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you should be a highly motivated individual who is keen to further develop your career within the civils industry. You should be capable of supervising staff on site with a strong technical ability in using setting out and surveying equipment such as a Totalstation and GPS. A degree or equivalent in a construction or civil engineering degree discipline is essential. Previous experience in water infrastructure is preferable, however, those with a strong civils background are also encouraged to apply. Due to the location of the projects, you must be flexible to NI / ROI travel.
